Matches - Games start at 2pm with the exception of games from the last week in August which start at 1.30pm. Every player should arrive at the village hall 1 hour before the game.
Pitch preparation - If you are playing at home you are expected to help in getting the pitch ready before the game and putting everything away after the game. This includes the following:
- Ropes
- Scoreboard
- Stumps
- Polls to be removed from square
- Gazebo set up (if required)
- Umpires coats with bails
- Setting up/clearing away teas
- Getting Social Club form signed by away team and handing to the Social Club prior to the game
- Plus other duties assigned on the day
Fees - Match fees should be paid before the game, anyone not complying with this will be liable to a £1 fine on top of the fee. The fees are £6 for anyone 16 and over and £3 for anyone under 16. Credit and debit cards are not accepted. Cash is prefered with any cheques made payable to Bar Hill Cricket Club.
Teas - Players will take it in turn throughout the season to prepare the teas for a game. Teamakers are chosen based on how many matches they played the previous season. No player should have to prepare more than one set of teas per season. A rota has been compiled and can viewed by clicking the rota link below. Instructions of what to do for the teas is also below.
