Each team will consist of 5 players picked by you based on monetary values. The total value of your team cannot exceed £50.
Once selected there are two chances to transfer players in your team.
Points will be awarded and the team that has the most points will win the league.
Points are scored on your players’ performances as follows:
- 1 point per run
- 10 points for a catch/stumping/run out
- 10 points for a wicket
- 10 bonus points for 5 wickets in a match
- 10 bonus points for scoring 50 runs in a match
- a further 10 points for scoring 100 runs in a match
- Minus 0.1 point for every run conceded as a bowler in a match
- 2 points for an appearance (excluding sub fielders)
The players available for selection include first team, second team and friendly team players.
There are no restrictions on who you can select other than the total value cannot exceed £50.
Player costs have been determined based on last year’s points with new players being valued at £5.
You may also choose any other member of the cricket club as a member of your team at a cost of £5 per player.
Points will be awarded from all first & second team and friendly games, including tour. There are a few exceptions and these are the Wrinklies, the Church and the 20/20 tournament.
No points will be scored for youth games.
Each team entry costs £5 with half of the money going to the club and the rest going to make the first prize. A second and third prize will be awarded.
To enter a team simply complete the entry form and return to Barry Driver along with your entry fee by 3rd May 2008.
All games prior to this date will be included in your score.
The league will be updated weekly with the prizes given at the end of season presentation.
In the event of a tie, the prizes will be split between the winning entries.
The decisions of the committee is final.
